Rambling Indonesia Archipelago by Plane

Indonesia has thousands of large and small islands, bordered by the sea and the straits. Air travel between the islands to another in the Indonesian region would never be boring for you and will feel full of enchanting natural beauty.
One example of air travel as from Mataram (Lombok) to Denpasar (Bali), you will be able to see the group of isles located in the Lombok Strait (the strait between the islands of Bali and Lombok Island) is beautiful viewed from behind the plane like the photos below.
This similarly, if your flight from Surabaya to Mataram (or vice versa) will see the sights of the Madura Island and neighboring isles, you will be treated by a view of Mount Batur (located on the island of Bali), which appears on the right (if from Surabaya) or left (if the direction of Mataram).
If you travelling from Makassar (South Sulawesi) to Manado (Bunaken / North Sulawesi) and from the opposite direction, then you will treat range views of Wallace Mountain and the beauty of the terrain in the province of South Sulawesi).
Similarly, if your air travel to other parts of Indonesia will always get a treat of natural beauty, sea, plains, and mountains are beautiful, then I suggest not taking a night flight schedules, reserving a seat near the window of the plane and preparing for photography equipment including diffusion filter to reduce the impact caused the plane window.

Congratulations great travel within Indonesia and happy nice trip.
